PWCO Blog Hop and new stamps!!!

Welcome to the first PaperWorksCo (PWCO) blog hop and *my* first blog hop!!! I am honoured to be a guest designer for this exciting release! I have details on my projects, info on the amazing new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps, links to your next stop and a blog candy giveaway, courtesy of PWCO!!! Thank you, Peggy!

I was super excited to see these incredibly adorable images designed by none other than Rachelle Anne Miller (hence the RAM!) and I hope you are, too! You may find these new exclusive PWCO images right *here*!!! There are 4 adorable exclusive new images! I have long admired Rachelle's illustrations and am sooooo happy to hear she has designed some PWCO stamps!

My first card is to honour Peggy from PaperWorksCo; she is celebrating her 30th birthday this month! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEGGY!!!

My second project is a framed piece of art. Since mother's day is coming up here in North America (May 9th), I took the duck image and iterpreted the middle duck to be the Mama. "Mãe" means mother in Portuguese and so I made this especially for my mother.

I have blog candy courtesy of Peggy! To be entered to win, please leave me a comment telling me the last wedding you attended and your favourite moment. You see, I am in Seattle attending the wedding of 2 wonderful friends (it was last night...I am a bit bleery eyed! LOL). I have many many favourite memories from last night, including sharing a table with my wonderful friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in a few years. I also loved seeing all our hard work (I helped with paperie stuff) come to fruition and be admired by all.

Edit: Draw will be on Sunday evening!

FYI - Peggy will be choosing one lucky commenter from one of the blogs to win the GRAND PRIZE - all FOUR new PWCO -Rachelle Anne Miller stamps!!! Woah!!! I wonder if I can enter...hmm.... *tee hee*

Edit: will post back shortly to tell you when the grand prize draw will be!

Thank you for stopping by - hope you liked my 2 projects and now on to the next stop - Sheena's blog! And in case you've miss a couple, here's the full list:

  6. I LOVE how that mouse is jumping out of the paper, so clever!! That frame is beautiful too, it's neat how you only coloured the one duck as your focus.

  7. Love your framed card. The spotlighting is perfect.

My last wedding was my cousin's last summer. The best moment was actually the best man's speech. He made the couple hold hands and then look out at the crowd. He commented on how blessed the couple was - family, friends, coworkers, childhood scout leaders had attended. Both were well loved. But as of right now, none of that meant anything. He then had the bride and groom look at each other. "As of right now, only the two of you matter and your love for each other." I'm not nearly so eloquent in the telling. Needless to say the couple kissed. BEAUTIFUL!

  8. Oh I adore that framed picture for your mom - and the way you've done that card is soooo cute. I'll have to give that a try one day because it looks beautiful!

Last wedding I went to was a friend from college and my favorite moment was when I looked around and every detail struck me as so perfectly hand picked by the couple. Because we took graphic communications together, it really became apparent all the color coordination that he'd done (down the pantone colors) and the time they'd spent making everything JUST right =)

  17. Your mom is going to cry when she opens this. Just gorgeous!! I love the focus on the middle duck.

The last wedding I attended was my older daughter's. My favorite moment was the sand ceremony. As we are a split family and my daughter wanted to include everyone equally in a meaningful way she had each set of parents and partners come up and pour sand into a vase. The bridal couple were the last to pour and then the words "As each of these grains of sand are now combined never to be separate again, so too are our families combined forever" were spoken. It brought tears of joy to know that not only we were accepting a new member into our family but that they accepted each of our partners as family as well.

  21. WOW your creations are gorgeous! I love the pop out on the card and the mom sentiment...are you Portuguese? Anyways I digress...the last wedding I attended was here in Crete in October...my fav was sharing the day with 700 people (and that was a small wedding for here) and doing some Greek dancing with people I've never met and can't hold down a conversation with...LOVE THIS country!

  22. Cute. I like how the paper curls up.

  23. I love the framing on your card. I've got to have a go at that.

The last wedding I went to was that of one of my closest friends in August. The best moment was seeing Ted (my friend Joy's son) running around the grounds on an (imaginary) jelly baby hunt. Despite being in excrusating pain from the tumour that had developed on her back and shoulder. I had never seen her looking so happy or proud. It was the last time I saw her as she passed away in January. But it is a memory that will last me forever.

  37. I love the "peek a boo hole" (for lack of a better term) you created on that card ~ very cool idea! The framed art is stunning too ~ great job!

The last wedding I attended ~ wow, that's a hard one ~ I was supposed to go to one last year, but two of my kids were sick, so we didn't go. So, I think the last one would have been my own 13 years ago. As for memories ~ all of it ~ after all, what's not to remember on your own wedding day ~ especially when you don't drink!
