bébé Sophie

I made this card for a coworker's newborn cutie pie. I also followed this PaperWorks Co Recipe by Alice:
  • a circle
  • a bow
  • 2 flowers
I used my hand-held Making Memories notch die tool with the tiny hole to punch 'eyelets' around the scalloped circle.

Thanks for looking!

Wisteria for Aynsley

I made this card for a coworker who had a rough day the other day, so several of us pitched in to get her a bottle of wine and I said I'd make her a card. The sketch is from the PaperWorks Co Sunday Sketch #65 and inspired by a MoxieFab 'Tuesday Trigger' challenge inspiration photo.

I also made some rolled paper flowers. You may find the SplitcoastStampers tutorial *here*.

Thanks for looking!

*Blessings*!

Paper: Wisteria collection; Fountain & Garden Patio (Basic Grey), purple & grey (stash)
Ink: Eggplant Envy & Night of Navy (SU!), Hint of Pesto (VersaMagic), Frost White (Colorbox),
Embellishments & tools: Purple Stickles, Threading Water (Fiskars border punch)

WaltzingMouse Stamps Blog Waltz!

Here's my 6" X 6" card that I made for the January WaltzingMouse Stamps Blog Waltz. The theme is St. Valentine's/Love. I also followed last week's PaperWorks Co's "recipe" which was to use:
  • 3 papers (all Echo Park Paper Co)
  • 3 embellishments (ribbon, Dew Drops & my pin embellie)
  • 1 animal (truth be told, I actually have 3!)
I chose this cute Rachelle Anne Miller/PaperWorks Co friendship image & sentiment set to make a Valentine's card for a friend. I wanted to emphasize the 'heart' in the sentiment, so I reached for the Celtic heart in WaltzingMouse's Celtic Heritage set.

I am blessed to have friends who are near and some who are far. I think I'll mail this one to one of my long-distance pals.

Thanks for looking! And be sure to check out all the other bloggers taking part in the WMS Blog Waltz! You'll need to register for the WMS forum in order to see the Waltz forum thread *here*.

::Supplies::

Stamps: Side by Side (PaperWorks Co with Rachelle Anne Miller), Celtic Heritage (WaltzingMouse Stamps)
Paper: Pathway; double-sided red & striped paper (A Walk in the Park collection by Echo Park Paper Co), Blue Sky; clouds (Sweet Summertime Collection by Echo Park Paper Co), smooth white (Prism)
Ink: Rhubarb Stalk & Tuxedo Black (Memento), Copic Markers, Bermuda Bay (SU!)
Embellishments & tools: : Labels Seventeen die and Classic Scalloped Heart (both Spellbinders Nestabilities), baker's twine (raffit.com), pop-dots, button, Prima flower, pin, Dew Drops (Robin's Nest), Alcohol Inks (Ranger), ribbon (stasg)

Cletic Bluebird Love

I finally got to play with my Bluebird set from Artistic Outpost! I made this using the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #29. I also pulled out the Very Vintage Labels No. 4 & Celtic Heritage stamp sets (both by WaltzingMouse Stamps).

I cut a strip of tissue paper and folded it to make a ruffled 'ribbon' which I then sewed on to my teal cardstock. I started sewing around the teal onto the brown cardstock, but the machine kinda broke down (ie I can't remember how to replace the empty bobbin on this ole' thing *lol*), so I did some faux-stitching with my white gel pen.

Thanks for looking!

::Supplies::

Stamps: Bluebird (Artistic Outpost set), Very Vintage Labels No. 4 (WaltzingMouse Stamps), Celtic Heritage (WMS)
Paper: tissue paper, Pomegranate (Bazzill), blue & brown from stash, smooth white (Prism)
Ink: VersaMark, Vintage Sepia (VersaFine), Bermuda Bay (SU!)
Embellishments & tools: : Labels Four die (S4-190; Spellbinders Nestabilities), sewing machine, white gel pen (Uni-Ball), baker's twine (raffit.com), pop-dots, garnet embossing powder, button

Magical * Snow *

I made this card for a PaperWorks Co Recipe challenge (1 image + 2 brads + 2 buttons) & the "11th Day of Christmas" Daily Dare challenge hosted by Waltzingmouse Stamps & featuring snowflakes.

Here's another *super* cute image by the talented illustrator Rachelle Anne Miller (for PaperWorks Co). I used the masking technique so that the "A Magical Christmas" image appeared within the "Very Vintage Labels No. 4" image. I also then only inked up one of the snowflakes and then stamped it 3 times around my image.

This was my first time 'playing' with my new Basic Grey "Snowflakes" embossing folder!!! I *heart* Basic Grey, in case you haven't noticed, and was so excited when they announced at CHA-Summer that they were coming out with Sizzix embossing folders! After I embossed my aqua paper, I rubbed my Frost White inkpad across to highlight the snowflakes a bit.

I covered 2 buttons with Martha Stewart Garnet glitter and the snowflake brads came from my LSS.

Thanks for looking!
