PWCO Friends and Family Blog Hop!

Welcome to the PaperWorks Co Friends & Family blog hop! I'm honoured to be a part of this blog hop!!! If you came from Christine's blog, then you have came to the right place. If you just started on this hop, please start at the PWCO main blog. =)

I made this 8" X 10" frame as a gift for my dad for Father's Day! I hope *you* like it, but especially, I hope he does! My favourite image from the new Rachelle Anne Miller/PWCO collection is Gone Fishing! The bear is oh so cute!!!! So I used that image, coloured it with my Copics and made the water and sky by sponging with ink. All the papers are from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey collection. The background paper is Sarsparilla. I cut the bird out from the Howdy Doody paper. I love birds, and so does my father, so I almost always try to sneak in a birdie!

I was inspired to make the mini bunting banner by this blog. The houndstooth pattern is from a Pink Paislee washi tape, the rest are bits from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey collection.

And here's a special note from Peggy from PWCO:

Enjoy a 10% off your PWCO stamps (8 collections in all!) from now until next Friday, June 4th! Simply put ffhop in the coupon code box when you check out! The offer cannot be combined with any other offer, valid for our rubber stamps only."

Waltzing Mouse Waltz

Happy *FIRST* birthday, Waltzing Mouse Stamps!

Welcome to my waltz! =) In honour of Waltzing Mouse Stamps' (WMS) one year birthday, the challenge for this blog waltz (ie blog hop) was to make a birthday card. I made two cards; a birthday and an anniversary card, using two sets; Very Vintage Labels No. 4 and Celtic Heritage. I looooove the thistle image and so I used it to create the background for both cards. I tried to mimic a damask pattern on the birthday card.

Please check the WMS Forum *here* for the list of participating blogs! And there will also be a scavenger hunt!

There will also be a thread in The Play Room for chat and to play along in our monthly blog waltz game. This time you will be looking for (and counting up) watermarks that look like teacups in the blog posts by the Design Team and Claire. A winner of a stamp set of choice will be drawn from all the correct answers! You'll have until 11:59 pm Pacific on Tuesday May 18th (7:50 am GMT on Wednesday May 19th) to complete the waltz and enter your guess(es).

Your comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Winner & cupcake b-day card!

My apologies for the delay in announcing the winner of the goodies courtesy of Paperworks Co! I'm back home in Canada after a wonderful trip to Seattle for a wedding surrounded by amazing friends! FYI - Seattle = stamp heaven!!! I was lucky enough to be there for an annual sale at Impress...I will have to play with those goodies and share a card!

Firstly, thank you for all your sweet, kind compliments on my projects! It was an honour to be a guest designer and part of the Rachelle Anne Miller for PWCO stamp release blog hop! I truly had fun playing with these new images! Also, thank you for sharing your last-wedding-you-attended moments!

Now on to the winner....

Congratulations to Kathy!!! I'll send you an email asking for your name and address and I'll get your goodies on their way to you! Again, thanks to Peggy for supplying the blog candy!!! =)

*.*.*.*.*HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY, PEGGY!!!*.*.*.*.*

This was a double challenge; part of the PWCO Sunday Sketch #30 (cupcake theme in honour of Peggy from PWCO's 30th birthday) and CPS sketch #164.

I loooooove this Basic Grey Cupcakes paper from the Nook and Pantry collection! It's very colourful and I love the vintage look. I had fun colouring the oh-so-cute Birthday Parade image (Rachelle Anne Miller for PWCO) and choosing my colours from the fun and pretty patterned paper.

I wanted to use these pins I had found as well as a button, so the CPS sketch was perfect for this card! The tissue flower was super easy to make and there's even a tutorial on SplitCoastStampers *here*. I didn't use a flower die, I just roughly hand cut 3 flowers of the same size and 2 smaller ones.

I used my *favourite* glitter gel pen (Uni-Ball Signo - "Sparkling") to add some sparkle to the 'Happy Birthday'.

Thanks for visiting! =)

PS Yes, this card is huge! *lol* I simply folded the brown 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock in half.
